Three-tier assessment of shooting failure

According to reliable sources in the Indian Rifle Association, the disappointing performance of Indian shooters at the Tokyo Olympics will be assessed in a three-tiered manner. This step has been taken to explain the reason for the failure of India’s 15-member shooting team.

“Performance appraisals will be conducted at three levels: shooters, guides and union officials. It will be reviewed by a third party person with the qualifications of the Executive Committee, including Chairman Raninder Singh. Because it will be important to understand where the organization fell short in preparing for the Olympics, “the source said.

Everyone will have an individual assessment of the failures in Tokyo. So there will be big changes, which will not be limited to coaches only. The shooters and guides will be evaluated by the President, Secretary (Rajiv Bhatia) and General Secretary (D. V. Sitarama Rao), “he said.

Along with India’s disappointing performance in Tokyo, the feud between pistol shooter Manu Bhakar and former coach Jaspal Rana also drew attention. This too will be investigated. The events before and during the Olympics have upset everyone in the organization. The president of the association was also warned by expressing his feelings.

A review committee headed by Abhinav Bindra was appointed after the Indian shooter failed in the 2016 Rio Olympics. According to the committee’s recommendations, plans were made for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
