MI vs KKR: Important match for Mumbai Indians; against KKR today

In the second season of the 14th IPL season, the defending champions Mumbai Indians will have to take on Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday. In the first match of the second season, Mumbai were defeated by Chennai Super Kings. Forgetting this defeat, Mumbai will enter the field for victory. In the first match, regular skipper Rohit Sharma could not play and was replaced by Kieran Pollard.

Rohit and Hardik Pandya could not play in the match against Chennai. The two were rested due to injuries. Mumbai had lost by 20 runs to Chennai. After the match, the team’s head coach Mahela Jayawardene had said that Rohit would be available for selection in the match against KKR.

Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma is in great form. If he bats well, it will be easy for Mumbai to win. Apart from Saurabh Tiwary, no other batsman in the team has done well in the match against Chennai.

Mumbai Indians are fourth and Kolkata are sixth. If Mumbai win today, they can go to third place. If Kolkata win, they can reach the current fourth position of Mumbai Indians. The win against RCB has taken its net run rate to 0.110 plus. Which can benefit them.
