Today, the last trading day of the week i.e. on Thursday, the stock market opened at the highest level. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s major index Sensex opened at 61125.16 with a gain of 388.11 points or 0.64 %. At the same time, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange opened at 18279.50 with a gain of 117.70 points (0.65 %). Today 1503 shares rose, 450 shares declined and 86 shares remained unchanged.
Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 1,293.48 points or 2.20 %. On Wednesday also the Sensex-Nifty opened at a record level. The stock market will remain closed on Friday on ‘Dussehra’. The stock market is closing on the green mark for the last five days.
Talking about the big stocks, during early trade today Tech Mahindra, M & M, Asian Paints, Kotak Bank, L & T, ICICI Bank, NTPC, Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Finserv, HCL Tech, Reliance, ITC, HDFC Bank, Shares of Bharti Airtel, TCS, UltraTech Cement, IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, Dr Reddy, Sun Pharma, SBI, Maruti, Titan, Nestle India Tata Steel, Hindustan Unilever and Infosys opened on the green mark. On the other hand, shares of Power Grid, Bajaj Finance and HDFC opened on the red mark.
During the pre-open at 9.02 am, the Sensex was up 176.03 points (0.29 %) at the level of 60913.08. Whereas Nifty was up 118.50 points (0.65 %) at 18280.30.
On Wednesday, the Sensex opened at 60485.32 with a gain of 201.01 points or 0.33 %. On the other hand, Nifty opened at 18074.50 with a gain of 82.50 points (0.46 %).
In the previous session, the stock market closed at the highest level after the day’s volatility. The Sensex closed at 60,737.05 with a gain of 452.74 points (0.75 %). On the other hand, Nifty closed at 18,161.75 with a gain of 169.80 points (0.94 %).
