WHO Coronavirus Report: More women infected with corona, number of death of male is more

It is almost two years since the corona virus arrived in the world. In November 2019, the infection was first confirmed in China. Since then, more than 24 crore 47 lakh people have been infected worldwide, while more than 49 lakh 66 thousand patients have died.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has released a report regarding the infection. In this, it has been told which people have been affected the most by the infection? What age people got infected the most and what age patients died the most?

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 51.3% of those infected with corona are women, while 48.7% are men. In both the categories, people between the ages of 30 and 39 were most affected by the infection.

More than 40 million people have been infected in this age. At the age of 40 to 49, more than one and a half crore people were infected with corona. After this, the maximum effect of infection was seen on people aged 20 to 29 years and then 50 to 59 years of age. The least infected were in the age group of 0-14 years.

Between January 2020 and April 2021, most of those who lost their lives due to corona infection were male patients. According to the WHO, 57.6% of those who died in the meantime were men, while 42.4% were women.

If we look at the figures in terms of age, the highest number of deaths occurred in both the categories of patients above 80 years of age. After this, patients aged 75 to 79 and then 70 to 74 years died. Male patients between the ages of 50 and 59 also lost more lives.
