META opened one of the largest Office space in Gurugram, India and the first standalone facility in Asia

Honorable Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Rajiv Chandrashekhar inaugurated the new office of META in Gurugram today.

This will be the company’s first office since the unveiling of its new identity, Meta (Facebook). This will be one of the company’s largest office spaces and the first standalone facility in Asia.

The office will also house the Center for Fueling India’s New Economy (C-FINE), set up in a new 130,000 sq ft building in the heart of the city.

The new center will be dedicated to training and skilling India’s small business owners, manufacturers, entrepreneurs and local communities. It aims to enable these people to accelerate and take advantage of the digital transformation going on in the country.

The company has also announced an ambitious target of training 10 million small businessmen and entrepreneurs and 250,000 creators over the next three years.

Ajit Mohan, Vice-President and Managing Director, Facebook India (META), said, “We see this office as an opportunity to carve out a space for ourselves that will house our largest team in the country.

This office will be open to everyone participating in change, whether they are creators, small business owners, entrepreneurs, artists or community leaders. The locations here will have directed, purposeful efforts for META to accelerate their functioning, concept and ambition.

That is why we have adopted the ambitious target of training 1 crore small businessmen and 250,000 manufacturers, he added. We see this office as a reaffirmation of our commitment to the nation.

In our view, it is also a reflection of our fervent desire to be an ally of a country that is rapidly changing and where technology will have an enabling role in enhancing the lives and prosperity of future generations.”
