What is Metaverse World? this is the future of the Internet!

Metaverse has been the talk of the town since Microsoft’s Satya Nadella announced this week that it would buy the gaming company “Activision Blizzard” for a whopping 70 billion.

The word has been in the news since the end of last year. Ever since Mark Zuckerberg changed the name of the Facebook company to “Meta”. Now, however, the topic of “metaverse” has become a topic of discussion outside of technology. The international media has taken notice of it and started coverage on it. As such, the subject is not new to the technology sector and is not limited to 1-2 companies. Apart from Microsoft, Facebook, Fortnite, Roblox, and many other companies have made announcements about this. But a lot of people have written about it from so many different perspectives that it is now like the “elephant and the seven blind” myths. Some people think that this elephant is the size of a trunk, while others think that it has the shape of a tail, while others think that it has a big belly. But how is this elephant completely?

What is going to be Metaverse? ( What is Metaverse?)

Metaverse will be a virtual world. In a nutshell, this is the future of the Internet! And it will be so ubiquitous that it will connect both “physical” and “virtual” worlds. Author Neil Stephenson is credited with using the word. In his 1992 science fiction novel “Snow Crash”, he imagined “metaverse” and the living incarnations found in realistic 3D buildings and other virtual reality environments. It used to be science fiction, but in the last few years, many tools have been added to the technology. These include Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, 3D Holographic Avatars, Video, and other means of communication. Initially and still different, these technologies and applications (experiences) will now be built together for metaverse, and as this world expands, it will create a hyper-real alternative world for you to stay “virtually together” for longer.

Metaverse have already arrived

If this sounds weird, ask your kids about video games. For them, this world already exists for that game. Now only these different worlds will come together and your ID will also be the same through which your personality will always be with you. Today, if you buy some digital services in one amp, it cannot be used in another amp. It also changes your ID. One of the goals of Metaverse is to bring together this “silo” Internet. Then in this world currency will also be digital. Then came the cryptocurrencies for that. There were different digital coins and tokens. All of this is very much in focus right now.

In these metaverse you can also build your own home and office virtual. Decorative photos, wallpapers can also be purchased digitally. You can buy clothes for the meeting, for the party. It is already available in many games but now you can use it in apps outside of that game. A few months ago, paintings by a digital artist named “Beeple” sold for 69 million. (These digital arts are called NFT) There was a debate about whether the price was right. If photos or paintings can be easily copied by anyone on the internet, why is it so expensive? The answer is “Why are original art pieces sold at such a high price in auctions these days?” It has. Just like today, if one wants to get a hugely popular painting like the original Picasso, one has to pay a quarter of the price. The same thing is likely to happen with these NFTs. Crypto techniques will also make it much easier to track who owns the painting. After a few decades, these paintings will be sold at a huge price, so the number of buyers is also increasing.

The spread of the Internet has grown so fast in the last decade that it has now reached almost every corner. While the current global pandemic has shaken the world, many have come to experience the benefits of continuing the world of technology “at home” (because of work from home!). Schools, work from home, meetings could be done with the help of the internet, but social distance could also be done with the help of eCommerce companies like Amazon, Flipkart.

Ecommerce has gained tremendous momentum around the world. Some companies, such as Zoom Video, have grown exponentially. In the past, the Internet was creating a new economy, but now it is clear that technology and the Internet can still have a huge positive impact on human life. In some areas of technology, the adoption of decades took place in a matter of months. Now, what if people who only see 2D screens of zoom videos come out in front of 3D like their Star Wars movie? Meetings, parties, chats, cards, games, even mehfils, and conferences? The answer to all this is in metaverse. But it doesn’t have to be 3D glasses. Anyone who has a device can join them, this is the promise of Metaverse.

But could that really happen?

Many even think that this will never happen. But think about it, the names “Google, Amazon, Facebook, Twitter” that people didn’t even know about ten years ago are now household names. Just a few years ago, it seemed impossible for a man on the other side of the world to be able to take a phone out of his pocket and talk in a second. The only thing left is to spend on virtual things. How many people today take photos to post on Facebook, ignoring the guests at a party or ceremony? The cost of the games is increasing. Digital art is booming. Virtual concerts are on the rise. At the same rate, the amount of time a person spends on the screen, when it is more than just sitting face to face and talking, the metaverse will come automatically. Then all these things will start to seem possible.

Similarly, in our Puranas, there are many instances of Devdanavas appearing and disappearing in a moment. These are stories of different “incarnations”. Not only that, the word “avatar” which is now widely used in English and technology is our word “avatar”. Seeing all this, now it is safe to say that the world has literally gone “metaverse”!
